About Matt Rossi

He was thrust into a close knit family of 20 aunts and uncles and dozens of cousins upon his birth, not including close family friends. From an early age the author was avaricious for knowledge and too mature for his age, not respecting his boundaries  and limitations. This got him into trouble constantly. His parents purchased a set of encyclopedia Britannica’s for him when he could barely read, figuring he would use them in the future for schoolwork, this was googles precursor. Not being much of a sleeper they would find him reading them past his bedtime and also when they awoke in the morning. They were perplexed. How do you scold a child for learning but not following the rules?

Near the end of grade school they were called to come into a parent teacher conference .. He figured he was in big trouble for acting out and so did they, scolding him even before they went to the meeting..Once at the meeting they were flabbergasted to be shown his SAT scores as the teacher and vice principle explained to them that he became the class tutor on his own and would take it upon himself to help his struggling classmates who were not understanding some of the work. They were told he needs more of a challenge, which is why he gets mischievous as he bores easily. His 6th grade reading and math scores were 10th and  11th grade..They  put him in the advanced class which went from 7th grade straight to 9th.. This was  more his speed..Although this was good academically, it was socially a disaster in the long run to be thrown in with kids much older than him, who were starting to enjoy the  freedom of adulthood and vices that went along with it..The author stumbled full speed ahead into the social arena of experimenting with adulthood, leaving his schooling to suffer, until his family got involved.. He was signed out of high school and after taking his equivalency test and scoring in the top 3 percent, he was accepted into baruch college and queensborough which he both attended non matriculated, taking only the business classes he wanted  This  was all helpful first working in his family’s business, then by the age of 21 owning his own company, which would be his occupation for most of his lifetime..
